Green extends beyond its association with Spring for new growth and rebirth when plants are coming back to life after the long cold winter months. It is also associated with luck and money. Green has been the “it” color starting last year with bold bright shades of green. People were tired of being stuck in the house and not able to do things. They needed to add some excitement back into their lives, so what better way to do so than by adding color to their wardrobes! But green isn’t just for Spring. We are predicting that it is here to stay for the duration of 2022. Some might even say that green is the “new” pink. The most exciting thing about the color green, is there are a variety of shades so it can never get boring! A few examples of green are olive, jade, lime, forest, and mint. Here at Goujee Boutique, our favorite shades of green are teal and sage.

Be sure however that you wear green properly. There are rules of color theory to help find a green that compliments you. There are so many factors that affect choosing the right green for you. These things include your eye color, your hair color, and your skin tone. If you have a warm skin tone, you should go for warm colors and if you have a cool skin tone you should go for a cool color tone. If you have a neutral skin tone, you should go for neutral shades. Again, lucky for us the color green has a shade for all of that.

As for what color you can pair with the color green, use color harmony to help you choose. Color harmony is a term that describes the use of colors together in order to produce an effect that is pleasing to the eye. Colors are chosen based on their qualities and how they will interact with one another. In this article, we will focus on how to use color harmony for green in wardrobe. There are many different ways you can use color harmony for green in wardrobe; however, there are some specific rules you should follow when putting together your outfit. For example, if you have a dark colored shirt and pants, then it would be best to wear a lighter colored jacket or sweater because it will help balance out the outfit. We love our mint wide leg trousers paired with just one of our white and gray t-shirts. Or try pairing a lighter shade of green with pink to give off a softer vibe.

Some of that may be too much to process when thinking about what to wear. So, putting all that aside, we love to see people get creative when choosing their wardrobe. You never know what it will look like if you don’t try things together. You can choose a classic style or something bright and fun. Putting an outfit together is not just about where you are going or what you are doing, but also your mood. Go out on a limb and try something new. Embrace your creative power and flaunt that color green!
