Trends to look out for the rest of 2022

Fashion trends are constantly changing, and it can be hard to keep up. With only a few months left to 2022, we wanted to share some of the trends we are seeing and excited about. We are also predicting that these will be spilling their way into 2023 as well. Here are some of the most popular trends that we feel are expected to dominate the fashion world in the rest 2022.Many of these are throw backs and Goujee Boutique is here for it.
- Loafers: This one is definitely a throwback. They used to be more masculine in style but would typically be worn with socks and tights. Now the classic loafer has been elevated in style and we are seeing them with a heel, platform, and color. We have also seen them with other embellishments such as crystals and chunky chains. Loafers have always classic and sleek, but today’s loafer is so much more fun. This is something you can reach for on your way to work, or for a casual day of out with the girls.
- Pearls: These aren’t your grandmothers pearls. Yes, they have been around for a while, but now we are seeing these pop up on necklines of sweaters, dresses and more. And they are looking amazing as a more delicate addition to gold and silver jewelry pieces. Pearl buttons are also being added to tweed sets, reminding us just how classy pearls are.
- Belt chains: One of Goujee Boutique’s favorite trend to see come back in style. This accessory is perfect for adding a little edge to your outfit while keeping your outfit classy at the same time! Wear them over a sweater dress, jeans, or a skirt to add some detail and personality.
- Sweater dresses: Perfect for the transition in weather of course! For those who prefer dresses or skirts over pants or jeans, sweater dresses might be your next favorite thing. If you are worried that sweater dresses won’t flatter those amazing curves enough, then of course grab one of those belt chains to elevate your look. These look great with heels, flats, and boots.
- Colors: Not necessarily in the outfit itself, but definitely in your accessories. Purses, hats, and shoes! You will see some bold colors to give you the attention you deserve. We have seen blue and green previously in the season, but for fall look out for fuchsia. You can be sure to see it paired with the colors of fall such as brown.
- Monochromatic fashion: Monochromatic fashion is wearing one color from head to toe. People have always steered their wardrobe away from using just one color. However, right now this trend is going strong and will continue to do so in the future. You can wear pieces in the exact same shade or get more creative by using different hues. You can add different textures and patterns to make a much bolder statement, while still giving off a polished look.
If you haven’t tried some of these trends above, keep an eye out. We will be bringing these fun new styles to you soon. Check them out and maybe try something new.
